George's First Haircut!

Last week, George got his first haircut. He did pretty good. Terry had to hold him and mom gave him fruit loops while I took pictures. He looks so cute! This was a very special event for Terry. Mr. Johnny gave him his first haircut, too. As you can see, the place hasn't changed much!

Smithland Visit

Drew and George

Drew

George, Woodrow, and Drew

We went to cousin Woodrow's house to visit. Drew was there, too. It was great to have the three boys together. I know they will really enjoy playing together when they get older.

Sorry it's been so long!

Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. Since I've gone back to work, I can't seem to find any spare time. Hopefully, I will get better at balancing everything and keep everyone updated more often.

So, I left off with our vacation. Here's more about that. George and I had a great time. We were fortunate to share our vacation with some of our family. Baba Dee, Me Me, Aunt Christine, Aunt Cari Ann, Natalie, Rebekah, and Jackson. George loved having eveyone's attention. He loved eating everyone's food even more! Especially the ice cream cone.

Please give me some more ice cream

This is the best treat I've ever had

The Beach

We took our first vacation a couple of weeks ago. George loved the beach. He crawled in the water and enjoyed digging in the sand. We had a terrific time and look forward to going again. I'll post more about it later.

Weekend in Texas

George took his first trip to Texas. We went to visit Uncle Nard and Aunt Annette. We had a great time! George made himself at home. He explored the house and ,of course, got into everything. Hopefully, they will let us visit again.

Basket Case

You all know how active George can be. However, when it comes to holding his own bottle the boy is lazy. The other evening I was trying to get some things done and George wouldn't cooperate, but I found a solution. The laundry basket! He loves playing in it so I figured he might stay in it to take a bottle. It worked! I turned on the Noggin channel and he climbed right in. Then leaned back and took his bottle. I hope this trick will work again.

There's peas everywhere!

Feeding George lately has become quite a task. He wants to grab the spoon and feed himself. Here's what happened when he got the spoon from me.

Peek-a-boo

George has discovered that he can hide behind the living room curtains. It is so cute! At first I was worried he would pull them down, but he hasn't yet.

9 Month Check-up

George had his 9 month check-up today. He is doing great, other than a runny nose. Also, he is a little on the skinny side. He weighs 19lbs. and is 30inches long. The doctor said it was nothing to worry about. He is average weight for his age, but above average height which makes him thin. Of course, everyone that knows him thinks he is skinny because he is so active and I have to agree. George is always speed crawling, climbing, and getting into everything. He is definitely curious George.

George's Tacky Feet

George has found that he can climb anywhere. It doesn't matter if it is full or empty, if he wants to get it in he will. As you can see it's not the toys he wants but what they are in. Also the free toys are the best. We finally found a use for all those empty diaper boxes. And the laundry basket is no match for the George. Enjoy!

Rebekah and Jackson's Visit

Two weeks ago my cousin, Rebekah, and her son, Jackson, came to visit. We had a great time. I think my grandmother, Baba Dee, enjoyed it the most. She was so happy to have some of the grandkids and great-grandkids together. We really did miss having the Philley's, but they were busy having our newest addition to the family. We can't wait until we can all be together.
